According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple may not hold an event in October, which is why the company will announce devices like the next-generation iPad Air in a press release.
Gurman states that Apple will not unveil a new iPad model at its “Wonderlust” event next week, which will focus exclusively on the next generation of Apple Watch and iPhone.
Gurman said that A new iPad Air with improved specifications is in development and the device will be available soon. He added that “Maybe we’ll have an iPad update in October” excluding the iPad Pro, which is not expected to be updated until next year.
Gurman expects there will be a new Apple product launch in October, but expressed skepticism that an entire new device launch event would take place. He said it could be similar to the launch of the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro models earlier this year, which were announced via a press release and a short video.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported this yesterday Apple will not release new MacBook models with M3 chips before the end of this year. The first MacBooks with the M3 chip were previously scheduled to be unveiled at an Apple event in October.
