The Perfect Game Foundation will conduct talent tests for players ages thirteen to seventeen who are seeking signings to play in the United States college and university system.
“In this edition we are focusing on the elite group, on the most developed group of guys who are looking for a firm here in the country,” said Ben Ford, national and international vice president of Perfect Game USA.
The first session will be held from February 8 to 10 at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium in Santo Domingo, while the second will be from 11 to 13 at the Cibao stadium in Santiago.
This will be the first opportunity that young Dominicans will have to be able to carry out showcases with a view to being selected by North American scouts for the academic athletic system of the United States.
“Mainly that they have better opportunities for the players they participate in and help them have more exposure, so that the talent evaluators see them,” said Ford, a former pitcher for the Yankees, Dbacks, Cubs, Brewers and Licey in the Dominican League.

“Then the idea is to hold events for the other boys, who are not in developed groups, but rather, at any of the learning levels,” he pointed out.
Perfect Game is dedicated to furthering the development and career of the talented amateur baseball player. To that end, they hold individual player exhibitions and team tournaments of the highest national level throughout the United States.
Perfect Game helps aspiring college or university gamers through scholarships at various study centers in the United States.
Ford along with Joel Araujo were this weekend donating sports props in different leagues in the country for the celebration of the Three Kings.
