The new replacements on the mound for the 2023 MLB All-Star Game

Injuries have already prevented fans from seeing Shohei Ohtani and Clayton Kershaw pitch at the MLB All-Star Game 2023 and now there will be more replacement pitchers at T-Mobile Park on July 11.

The MLB announced that Kodai Senga, Alex Cobb, Corbin Burnes and Craig Kimbrel will go to the All-Star instead of Marcus Stroman, Bryce Elder, Devin Williams and Spencer Strider.

Senga, pitcher for the New York Mets, will replace Marcus Stroman of the Chicago Cubs. The Japanese has made 16 starts for the New York team and is currently 7-5 with a 3.31 ERA after striking out 113 opponents in 89.2 innings and allowing 33 runs.

Alex Cobb

Cobb has had a decent performance with the San Francisco Giants and will take the place of Bryce Elder, of the Atlanta Braves, on the National League All-Star Game roster. The right-handed pitcher has made 16 starts with a 6-2 record and a 2.91 ERA after striking out 86 batters and allowing 29 runs in his second season in the bay.

Kimbrel has done wonders for the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2023 season and will now take Devin Williams’ place.of the Milwaukee Brewers. The reliever has appeared in 39 games and is 5-1 with 14 saves. He has only pitched 37 complete innings and has struck out 57 batters.

Corbin Burnes

Spencer Strider did not want to pitch in the all-star game and his place will be taken by Corbin Burnesof the Milwaukee Brewers. Brunesy has started 18 games for the Brewers and has a 3.94 ERA after allowing 47 runs in 107.1 innings and striking out 102 opponents.
