The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project has released the list of the most corrupt personalities of 2021.
The most corrupt figures include Belarussian President Alexander G. Lukashenko, former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

A panel of six journalists reporting on corruption belonging to the OCCRP has selected these people out of 1167 nominees from around the world.
It should be noted that this is the first time in a decade that this decision has been taken unanimously regarding the Corrupt Person of the Year World Award.
