The 2022 iPhone SE’s 4.7-inch display will be trimmed by a notch
And after learning that the iPhone 13 is the best-selling in the Chinese market, which is the largest and most profitable in the world, here comes the news of another potential Apple sales champion.
Now renders of the future iPhone SE 2022 have appeared on the web world that show us what the design of the long-awaited Apple terminal could look like. The images come through the leaker Xleaks7, which has proven, on several occasions, to be reliable in these matters, having correctly revealed the design of other smartphones.
So it seems that the iPhone SE 2022 will include a 4.7-inch screen and that it will be LCD and not OLED. Still on the front, we can find a notch that can house the Face ID biometric authentication system. But most analysts believe that Apple will choose to put a fingerprint sensor on the edge of the phone, as with the iPad.

At the rear of the model, the camera setup includes a single sensor. For now, it is difficult to say if the SE version of 2022 is inspired by the iPhone X or if it maintains the design of the previous SE version of 2020. Given the high probability that the model will integrate a 4.7-inch screen, quite possibly only in 2024 will we be able to see a larger screen included.
On the other hand, since only in the iPhone 14 model should Apple abandon the notch design to house the front sensors, it is equally likely that the SE 2022 version of the iPhone will continue to include this design and will not surprise anyone at this level.
Other information already advanced indicates that the smartphone will have Apple’s A15 Bionic chip at its controls, as well as support for 5G communications.
The iPhone SE 2022 arrives between March and April of this year
As we have already mentioned, the iPhone SE 2022 will arrive in the spring between March and April of this year. This is, at least, the date advanced by journalist Mark Gurman, from the Bloomberg news agency, who is quite accurate in this type of information.
That is if the Covid-19 pandemic or component shortages don’t interfere with Apple’s plans. Also according to the same source, Apple’s WWDC 2022 conference should be held online again. Apparently, the company is in no rush to return to in-person events.
