The Deceuninck Quick Step, big winner in Dudelange

The Deceuninck Quick Step team was the great winner of the fourth stage of the Tour de Luxembourg after what Mattia Cattaneo is proclaimed winner of the stage and Joao Almeida became the new leader of the general.

Cattaneo was the fastest cyclist to complete the 25.4 kilometer individual time trial in Dudelange, while Almeida was second just two seconds behind his partner. Cattaneo, 30, sealed his third professional victory and the first since winning the Giro del Apenino at the end of April 2019. Danish Mattias Skjelmose Jensen (Trek-Segafredo) was third.

He until this Friday leader, the Swiss Marc Hirschi (UAE Team Emirates), finished in sixth place 49 seconds behind Cattaneo and 47 seconds behind Almeida, to whom he handed over the overall jersey. The race ends this Saturday with the fifth and final stage, of 183.7 kilometers between Mersch and Luxembourg.
