The competitive process of the first public-private alliance project under Law 47-20 begins

The General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP), began the competitive process of the first public initiative to be carried out under the mechanism of public-private partnerships under Law 47-20 and its application regulations, which marks a milestone in the history of PPPs in the Dominican Republic.

In compliance with Law 47-20, on Public-Private Partnerships and its application regulations, the DGAPP summoned all interested legal entities, national or foreign, to participate in the competitive process of selection of awardee for the design, development (or acquisition to provide), financing, administration, operation and maintenance of the Electronic Security System (SEGM).

In a statement published in the written media, as required by law, the institution states that companies that meet the requirements described in the tender specifications will have the right to participate in this competitive bidder selection process, which may be consulted at the web portal of the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP)www.dgapp.gob.do.

The institution points out that in order to participate in the process, all interested parties must pay, by certified check or administration check in the name of this DGAPP, the value of RD $ 115,000.00, non-reimbursable resources, according to the specifications indicated in the specifications.

The DGAPP indicates that each interested party must present the necessary documents for the qualification of bidders in sealed envelopes, together with the receipt or proof of payment of the participation cost, at the offices of the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships located on Avenida Jiménez Moya No. . 667, La Julia, in the National District, on January 26, 2022, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

The opening of the envelopes with the documents for the qualification of bidders will take place that same day at 11:00 in the morning, in the presence of a notary public.

At the end of October, the DGAPP, through the PPP projects promotion subdirectorate, held the first “Virtual Roadshow” where it presented to potential bidders the Electronic System of Secured Transactions (SEGM), a public initiative presented by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) and declared of public interest by the National Council of Public-Private Partnerships (CNAPP).
