Today, March 25, is the birthday of this talented actor. But he doesn’t celebrate birthdays. He wrote on Facebook today the reason for not celebrating the birthday of this Manikganj-born actor. He wrote: “I have no program for my birthday.”
The actor cited a terrible memory of March 25 as the reason. He writes: “25. March 1971.” We were thenrun I am in Kaggitola in Dhaka the teathe teaSo in my brother’s house. On March 24th, around 11 p.m., everyone in the house fell asleep.
What happened next? Farooq Ahmed said, “Morning.”the bellMother got us out from under the post. Had some breakfast. We had breakfast and sat again under the chowki. Then the sound of gunfire grew louder. Sitting next to each other, I couldn’t hear the other person. So our March 25, 1971 passed in a dark night and the whole day in terrible terror. Even today, March 25, 1971, the dark night flashed before my eyes. I feel a sharp pain in my chest.’
Because of this severe pain, he never celebrated his birthday again. He said: “So I vowed that I will not celebrate my birthday on March 25th of my life.”
However, the actor thanked those who wished him. At the same time, he remembered the thousand martyrs of the terrible incident that occurred on that black night.
