The provincial court of Khon Kaen sentenced Somluck to three years, one month, and ten days in prison. He has been granted the right to appeal the decision. Additionally, the court has set a bond of 300,000 baht (approximately 8,640 euros) and ordered him to pay 4,800 euros in damages to the victim.
