Tennis Upset Brewing: Youngster Takes on Established Champion Sabalenka

Jessica Bouzas, the talented tennis player from Villagarcía de Arosa, has proven herself to be a force to be reckoned with on the big stages of racket sports. Her remarkable skills were on full display as she pushed the Belarusian tennis star, Aryna Sabalenka, to the limit in their recent match at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

Despite Sabalenka’s impressive record as a double champion of the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024, Bouzas was not intimidated. Under the guidance of her coach, Roberto Ortega, Bouzas demonstrated her expertise and determination, ultimately falling short with a score of 6-3 and 7-5.

The match was a thrilling display of tennis prowess, with both players showcasing their skills. Bouzas’ powerful shots and impressive serves were a highlight of the game, and she managed to steal serve from Sabalenka twice in the opening set.
