A volunteer at a sports event in Tenerife recently had a close call while trying to do their job. During the La Laguna – Breogán game, the volunteer was attempting to clean the floor with a mop when they almost got caught up in the action. This incident turned the volunteer into an unintended protagonist and resulted in one of the most amusing moments of the day, highlighting the potential risks of being a cleaner in the Endesa League.
The volunteer had entered the court to clean the defensive zone of the Breogán team, but a sudden counterattack by the Tenerife team led to an unexpected turn of events. David Kramer, a player for Tenerife, was driving towards the Galician basket when he encountered an unexpected obstacle – the volunteer. To avoid colliding with the volunteer, Kramer had to stop and even used the volunteer’s back to balance himself. Despite the surprise, Kramer managed to score.
Initially, the volunteer seemed upset by the sudden interruption, but eventually, they took the situation in stride and laughed it off amid the applause of the crowd at the Santiago Martín stadium. Fortunately, the incident ended without any harm and remained a lighthearted anecdote from the game.
