Cologne, Germany, August 27, 2025 – Tencent Games really made a splash at gamescom 2025. They showed up bigger than ever before, drawing in hundreds of thousands of visitors to their massive booth. The company also grabbed worldwide attention, unveiling brand new games on the big Opening Night Live ("ONL") stage. Fans got to play demos of over ten different games. They explored cool new features and dove into experiences from Tencent’s own studios, partner studios, and publishing groups. Beyond the highlighted games, many other Tencent Games studios from around the globe also joined gamescom. This shows just how wide their reach is and how strong their network has become.
Big Reveals on Opening Night Live
This year, on the gamescom ONL stage, hosted by Geoff Keighley, Tencent Games brought out several new titles that global fans have been eager to see. These included Fate Trigger, Honor of Kings: World, and Project Spectrum.
Delta Force Makes Console Debut
Delta Force from Team Jade, a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter, released its first console trailer at Opening Night Live. The game is now officially out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This means console and PC players can team up for endless war experiences. Thanks to cross-platform data sync, game progress moves smoothly. Just sign up once and play anywhere. To celebrate the launch, the game also offers free Black Hawk Down DLC for consoles.
Fate Trigger Blends Anime and Strategy
Fate Trigger, from Saroasis Studios, showed off its newest trailer on the ONL stage. It changes up the shooter genre by mixing anime-style heroes with modern tactical shooting. The game is built especially for players worldwide. Fate Trigger added excitement to gamescom with cosplay shows and live matches against streamers. It’s more than a cross-platform game; it’s a living universe made for anime lovers. The game just wrapped up a very successful Closed Beta Test on PC in July. It revealed new characters, weapons, and vehicles to keep Awakeners thrilled. With rising interest, Fate Trigger plans to add a First-Person Point-of-View in some game modes. Early Access is set for Q1 2026.
Honor of Kings: World Reveals Primaera
Honor of Kings: World, from TiMi Studio Group, excited fans on the ONL stage with a new trailer. This action RPG fantasy adventure, with its Eastern style, displayed stunning views of the Primaera kingdom. It showed off a unique, legendary world within the Honor of Kings universe. A PC demo of its Co-op Battle mode against a boss was available for international players for the first time. This let fans see the fast combat, changing playstyles, teamwork features, and true-to-life game setting. Fans also took on a special Co-op Challenge quest against the new boss, Bi Fang, who debuted on stage. This built even more excitement for the game.
Project Spectrum Debuts on ONL
Project Spectrum, also from Team Jade, made its world premiere on the ONL stage. This flagship game, built with Unreal Engine 5, mixes strategic team FPS action with asymmetric combat. All of this takes place in a mysterious and intriguing world. A three-minute trailer plunged viewers into a tense post-mission debriefing. A high-ranking officer questioned shaking team members about their failed mission. Project Spectrum is coming to PC, but a release date isn’t set yet.

Explore the Stars in Interstellar Utopia
Space and survival fans didn’t miss trying Interstellar Utopia at gamescom. This new cross-platform sandbox adventure lets players become cyborgs. They travel through a boundless galaxy, explore vast solar systems, build things, and discover endless possibilities in an immersive sci-fi universe. A highlight at the booth was the "Consciousness Upload Station." This special interactive machine became a favorite photo spot for gamers and sci-fi fans.
PUBG MOBILE Goes Spooky and Beyond
PUBG MOBILE, co-developed by LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS of Tencent Games and KRAFTON, Inc., keeps pushing the battle royale genre forward. It revealed ghost-themed gameplay and a new PvP mode called UNFAIL. This mode features intense chases between powerful Predators and Survivors. This new mode is part of the "Beyond Battle Royale" experience PUBG MOBILE brought to gamescom. Fans also got a sneak peek at the "Spooky Soiree" theme for version 4.0. It will include various ghost powers and game features. The "World of Wonder" mode lets players create and play, and fun activities with PUBG MOBILE content creators were also available.
Rust Mobile Brings Survival to Your Pocket
Rust Mobile, officially licensed from Facepunch Studios, keeps its original feel. It showed up at gamescom with its first global demo for fans. This marks a big platform expansion for the well-loved Rust series. Now, players can take on Rust‘s harsh, unforgiving world. This includes intense survival, smart base building, and adrenaline-pumping PvP battles. All of this is easily playable right from your fingertips.
Terminull Brigade Launches for Free
Terminull Brigade, by PewPew Games, sends players into a fast-paced co-op roguelike shooter. It takes place in a crumbling virtual universe called the Nullverse. The game is now officially available worldwide. You can download it for free on both Steam and the Epic Store.
The demos and fun activities at the booths created a truly engaging atmosphere. Attendees got a real taste of each game’s main features. This built even more anticipation for future releases.
Driving Innovation and Industry Talk
Beyond their busy booths, Tencent Games showed leadership in new ideas and working with developers globally. Tencent Games stressed its dedication to helping the game industry grow in a good way at the gamescom congress. Rick Li, Producer of PUBG MOBILE, joined a panel called "Playing for the Planet." He spoke with industry leaders from Ubisoft, Unity, and Xbox. They shared ideas on how to lower pollution during game creation. They also discussed how to inspire players to help make positive changes.
Rick Li, Producer of PUBG MOBILE, stated, "We must use games as a medium and naturally influence players. People are very interested in content that encourages action on climate change. We all have a duty to gather players and drive positive change together." Recently, PUBG MOBILE launched its "Play For Green" campaign. This was part of the "Green Game Jam" event by "Playing For The Planet." The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) backed the event. Its goal is to create simple content that educates and encourages players worldwide to protect our planet.
At devcom, Tencent Games also unveiled VISVISE, a new AI-powered game creation solution. It features cool tools like GoSkinning and MotionBlink. These tools automatically build character structures and textures (rigging and skinning). They also make high-definition 3D animation production much faster. VISVISE helps developers work quicker and smarter. This gives them more time for creative tasks and new ideas. Zijiao Zeng, Principal AI Researcher, first shared how this solution will change 3D game animation production. This happened during a special talk titled AI Redefining Animation Production – End-to-end Innovation in Character Animation.
Besides showing off tools for developers, other talks covered important topics. Yue Wang, Director of Anti-Cheat Operations, presented "The Invisible War Against Mobile Game Cheats – A Global Defense Perspective." He discussed special strategies and defenses against targeted cheat programs. Meanwhile, Merle Chen (Head of Sound), Shuai Zhen (Sound Designer), and Luke Wang (Audio Designer) from Tencent Games showed how Sound Design builds tension and feeling in battle. Their talk was called Smoke and Echoes: Sound Narrative in Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.
