Team Liquid distinguished its presence at the Brazil Game Show (BGS) 2025 by prioritizing grassroots esports development and fostering diversity, notably by hosting an amateur tournament final and celebrating its championship-winning inclusive VALORANT team.
For the first time, Team Liquid brought the final of a community tournament, the Liquid Arena Open for Rainbow Six Siege, to the BGS main stage. This initiative aimed to offer amateur players an experience typically reserved for professional competitors.
Rafael Queiroz, General Manager for Team Liquid, described the event as a long-held dream. He emphasized that Tier 2 and amateur players often lack opportunities to compete on a professional stage or in front of a live audience.
Ubisoft partnered with Team Liquid to provide the necessary structure for organizing the tournament final. This collaboration allowed the organization to achieve its goal of bringing a unique experience to the community.
Additionally, Team Liquid celebrated the success of its inclusive VALORANT team, Team Liquid Visa, which won the VCT Game Changers Brazil final at BGS 2025. The team is now set to compete in the World Championship in Seoul, South Korea.
Queiroz highlighted the significant impact of the inclusive team on fan demographics. He noted a shift from approximately 95% male fans to a 70/30 male-to-inclusive fan ratio since the team’s inception.
He added that the team embodies Team Liquid’s core value of diversity, reaching a broad audience through its talented players. The athletes are celebrated for their openness with the public and their consistent performance in tournaments.
Beyond these key initiatives, Team Liquid maintained a comprehensive stand at BGS 2025. It featured a store with exclusive collaborations, including a BLEACH anime collection and a 25-year anniversary line.
The stand also offered an exclusive VIP lounge, accessible to Visa clients or those spending a certain amount in the store. A mobile gaming station showcased titles like Rainbow Six Mobile.
Attendees could also participate in meet-and-greet sessions with professional players and influencers, alongside live matches featuring Team Liquid pros on stage. VALORANT and Rainbow Six Siege were the primary games highlighted across the organization’s activities at the event.
