Tarsame Singh Saini, also known as Taj, singer of ‘Pyaar Ho Gaya’ and ‘Galla Goriyan’, dies

Singer Tarsem Singh Saini, also known as Taj, who sang such hits as Galla Goriyan, It’s Magic – It’s Magic and Thoda Daru Vich Pyaar Mila De, died on Friday. He was 54 years old. Taj has been sick for the last few months. According to reports, Saini’s liver had stopped working and he fell into a coma.

According to media reports, Singer was suffering from a Taj hernia, but her surgery was postponed due to the Corona virus. Since then her condition had worsened. Significantly, Taj was known for songs like Pyaar Ho Gaya, Galla Goriyan, Int’s Magic – It’s Magic, Nachge Saari Raat. These Taj Beans were a hit in his day.


Taj was famous for making cross-cultural fusion music. Apart from making his own album, he also sang songs in the movies ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, ‘Race’ and ‘Tum Bin’. On March 23 of this year, Taj’s band Stereo Nation shared an update on his health and said that Taj’s condition is improving and that he too came out of his coma. However, in the end, Taj lost the long battle with the disease.
