Pakistan News: IED blasted targeting security forces in Pakistan’s troubled Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The attack was carried out at a police post with a sophisticated explosive device (IED), in which two policemen were killed. On Friday, unidentified assailants detonated an IED near a police post in Dama Dola tehsil of Bajaur district, killing two policemen on the spot, officials said on Saturday.
Those responsible will be brought to justice
The slain police personnel have been identified as Havildar Syed Ahmed and constable Inayatur Rehman, officials said. Police said that a search operation has been launched to nab the culprits. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has condemned the blast and offered condolences to the families of the policemen killed. Calling for a report in the matter, he said that those responsible for the incident would be brought to justice.
Recently, two policemen were targeted earlier as well.
Let us tell you that earlier this week also two policemen deployed in security of the polio vaccination team were shot dead in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Terrorists target the personnel who administer polio every day. Shooting two policemen, the terrorists fled from the spot. According to officials, a police team reached the spot after the attack and cordoned off the area and a search operation is on to nab the culprits.
