Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently shared insights into how the monumental ‘Baahubali’ franchise significantly impacted her career and personal growth. Her involvement in the films marked a turning point, she stated.
Bhatia, a popular actress known for her diverse filmography and dance numbers, debuted in Hindi cinema two decades ago with ‘Chand Sa Roshan Chehra’. Her breakthrough role came with ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ alongside Prabhas. She reprised her role in ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, solidifying her star status.
Speaking with Filmfare, Bhatia revealed ‘Baahubali’ was her most profound learning experience. The extensive use of green screen technology required immense imagination during filming.
She gained a deep understanding of Visual Effects (VFX) and its application in enhancing cinematic storytelling. This technical insight also fostered a new level of artistic confidence within her.
The experience empowered her to experiment more in her roles. Bhatia noted that she subsequently stopped taking public opinion seriously. She began to rely more heavily on her own intuition and inner convictions.
Bhatia is currently preparing for the release of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’. She joins an ensemble cast including original stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishna, and Sathyaraj.
The original films, ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015) and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (2017), redefined Indian cinema on a global scale. They achieved unprecedented box office success and critical acclaim.
‘Baahubali: The Epic’ is scheduled for release on October 31, 2025. The film is anticipated to offer audiences a unique and special experience.
