The Taliban government has issued a formal notification appointing former Afghan cricketer Mirwais Ashraf as acting chairman of the cricket board.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that Mirwais Ashraf has been appointed as the new acting chairman of the board while the Afghan board said that Afghanistan has appointed Mirwais Ashraf as the new chairman by the Prime Minister and Chief Patron of the Board Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund.
