When top esports teams win a big championship, they often get to leave their mark. For fans of League of Legends, this means unique in-game items. The champions of the 2024 World Championship, T1, are now getting their digital trophies. These special character skins honor their big victory.
T1 grabbed their fifth LoL world title this year. They took down Bilibili Gaming in a tight 3-2 final match. It was quite a comeback. Part of the winners’ prize is choosing specific characters to receive special cosmetic upgrades. These new looks will soon be available to all players. It’s a way to remember the team’s achievement forever.
Every year after the Worlds event, the winning team names their chosen characters. These must be characters they played during the championship. This year, the T1 players made their selections:
- Zeus picked Gnar.
- Oner went with Vi.
- Faker chose Sylas, with a special Prestige edition, and Yone.
- Gumayusi selected Varus.
- Keria picked Pyke.

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, often called the greatest player ever, is getting two skins this time. This is a special reward for being named the MVP of the finals. In past years, a player’s champion might get both a regular and a prestige skin. For example, Choi “Zeus” Woo-je had this for Jayce in 2023. Now, Faker’s MVP status means he gets two different characters honored.
This marks T1’s fifth set of custom skins from Riot Games. The team was formerly known as SKT T1. Their past collections include:
- 2013 – Jax, Lee Sin, Zed, Vayne, and Zyra
- 2015 – Renekton, Elise, Ryze, Azir, Kalista, and Alistar
- 2016 – Ekko, Olaf, Zac, Syndra, Jhin, and Nami
- 2023 – Jayce (both normal and prestige), Lee Sin, Orianna, Jinx, and Bard

Riot Games has said these new skins will be shown off in September. There isn’t an exact date for when they will hit the in-game store. However, past patterns suggest they could arrive with new game updates. These updates are usually on September 10th (patch 25.18) or September 24th (patch 25.19). Fans will be eager to add these pieces of esports history to their collections.
