The Mumbai Indians team lost in the IPL playoffs after seven years and reached the playoffs for the first time without playing the final. The defending champions Gujarat Titans team defeated the five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 62 runs on Friday to enter their second straight final. The center of attraction of this match was the batting of Shubman Gill, who scored 129 runs off 60 balls and played a key role in Mumbai’s defeat. But Mumbai lost but once again Suryakumar Yadav won everyone’s hearts with his batting. There was a turning point in the match when both Mumbai’s win and loss depended on Surya’s wicket.

Surya became the second batsman to score over 600 runs in a season for Mumbai. This season, Suryakumar Yadav also scored a 49-ball century in a match against Gujarat Titans, which was also his first century in IPL history.
