The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the West Bengal government on a petition filed by the producers of the film ‘The Kerala Story’. The petition questions the West Bengal government’s decision to ban the film. The Supreme Court issued a notice to the West Bengal government and also sought a response from the Tamil Nadu government. The next hearing in this case will be on May 17.

While listening to the matter, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that if the film is being shown nationwide, why not in West Bengal? Let people decide if the movie is good or bad. The creators’ lawyer, Harish Salve, told the court: “The Kerala story was released on May 5 after getting the certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification, but West Bengal banned it.” The film will also not be allowed to be shown in Tamil Nadu.

The movie Kerala Story tells the story of 3 girls, who convert to religion through brainwashing and then those girls are forced to join the terrorist organization ISIS. The film’s producer Vipul Amritlal Shah says that he has researched for many years before making the film. He said that only the truth has been fully shown in the film.

Significantly, the collection pace of ‘The Kerala Story’ is not taking the name of stopping at the box office. This film has collected Rs 12.50 crore on Thursday. It is continually winning in double digits. In the past seven days, ‘The Kerala Story’ has collected Rs 81.36 crore. He will soon join the 100 crore club.
