Sunrisers Hyderabad is at odds with the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) over ticket sales. The team’s manager sent a letter to HCA treasurer CJ Srinivas, stating they won’t tolerate any interference. The letter specifically targets HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao.
The trouble started in 2024, according to Sunrisers Hyderabad. On March 27, HCA officials booked the VIP box for the SRH vs LSG match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Dispute Over Tickets
Sunrisers Hyderabad has agreements with various stakeholders to provide 3,900 tickets, including 50 VIP box tickets for HCA. However, HCA asked for 20 more tickets, which was denied. After that, they claimed the VIP box was blocked during the match against Lucknow Super Giants.
Threat to Shift Home Ground
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s manager said HCA’s president has threatened the team’s staff multiple times. The manager stated this isn’t the first time they’ve been blackmailed over free tickets. The letter to the treasurer makes it clear that SRH might change its home ground if HCA’s behavior doesn’t change. If that happens, they’ll file a complaint with the BCCI.
