The wait is over – Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s new game finally has a name: Stranger Than Heaven. Formerly known as Project Century, this highly anticipated title promises to deliver a unique gaming experience.
Check out the trailer:
The latest trailer, showcased at Summer Game Fest, takes us back to 1943, in a location inspired by Osaka’s Dotonbori district, now called Sotenbori in the game. The vibrant nightlife is on full display, but don’t be fooled – the streets are still filled with thugs and gangsters.
In terms of gameplay, Stranger Than Heaven takes a darker, grittier approach than the Like a Dragon series. Players can choose to fight ruthlessly or show mercy to their enemies. The game also features a detective mode, similar to the Judgment series, where you’ll gather evidence to solve mysteries.
Immersive Storytelling
The game’s narrative spans two eras: 1915, during the Taisho period, where our protagonist is a young man, and 1943, in the midst of World War II. While we’ve gotten a glimpse of what’s to come, the full story remains to be seen.
Some key features of the game include:
- Intense action sequences
- Investigative gameplay
- A rich, immersive storyline
As we wait for more updates, one thing is certain – Stranger Than Heaven is shaping up to be an unforgettable gaming experience. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting new title from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
