A violent stabbing in broad daylight has left one man fighting for his life in the hospital. The drama unfolded on Eduardo Víctor Haedo street, near Bulevar Artigas, where two men clashed with knives.
The blade used in the attack was 15 centimeters long – a stark reminder of the brutality of the crime. The altercation happened at 4:55 pm on Wednesday. A bystander called the police, who arrived to find one of the men lying on the ground with a severe neck wound, perilously close to a major artery.
Witnesses Describe the Scene
Police reports, accessed by News Agency, indicate that the victim was semi-conscious when rushed to the hospital. In contrast, the attacker fled the scene on a motorcycle, speeding away before police could arrive.
Security cameras captured the vehicle, which had no license plate, heading north on 8 de Octubre avenue. The getaway bike was driven by another man, leaving the attacker still at large.
A chilling video shows the exact moment the victim, wearing a blue shirt, was stabbed in the neck. Bloodstains were left on the street as police forensic teams collected evidence.
Investigation Ongoing
Given the severity of the wound, the case has been transferred to the homicide divisions of both the police and the prosecution. The incident is a grim reminder of the dangers lurking in the streets, where a dispute can quickly turn deadly.
