Sporting Club Adopts Proximity Rule for Away League Tickets

Sporting Lisbon is introducing a new policy to prioritize local members for away league match tickets, aiming to boost regional attendance.

The new rule grants priority to club members with over two years of affiliation who reside in the district where an away game is scheduled. Residency will be verified using addresses registered in the club’s internal system.

This policy will be implemented starting with the upcoming league match against Santa Clara, scheduled as part of the 11th matchday.

The club stated this new criterion will not override existing priority for “Lion Seat” holders, who typically secure premium season tickets.

Furthermore, the proximity rule will not apply to European competitions or to league matches played within the Lisbon district itself. The change was announced by the club from its Alvalade headquarters.
