Early Success for Spanish Players on the ITF Circuit

The ITF circuit has kicked off the new year with several tournaments already underway, and Spanish players are making their mark. At the M15 tournament in Manacor, Mallorca, Peter Vives secured his first professional title, defeating Ukrainian Georgii Kravchenko 7-5, 6-4 in the final. This achievement comes after Vives’ stint in university tennis in the United States.

In the same tournament, Sergio Galan reached the quarterfinals, while Iñaki Montes won the doubles title alongside Alberto Barroso, notching up his ninth doubles title.

Success Elsewhere on the Circuit

Carlos Sanchez Jover secured a double victory at the M15 tournament in Antalya, Turkey, winning both the singles and doubles titles. In the singles final, he beat Czech player Dominik Kellovsky 6-4, 7-5.

At the M25 tournament in Oeiras, Portugal, Daniel Rincón reached the semifinals in both singles and doubles, while Iñigo Cervantes also made it to the doubles semifinals.

These early successes on the ITF circuit augur well for Spanish players as they look to make their mark in the tennis world this year.
