The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced new appointments to its cricket committees. Former Indian cricketer and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is back as Chairman of the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee. He was first appointed to this role in 2021, taking over from Anil Kumble.
New Members on the Men’s Cricket Committee
Ganguly will work alongside several experienced cricketers.
- VVS Laxman, another Indian cricket legend
- Hamid Hassan, a former Afghan cricketer
- Desmond Haynes, a West Indies cricket great
- Temba Bavuma, the current captain of South Africa’s Test and ODI teams
- Jonty Trott, a former England cricketer
Changes in the Women’s Cricket Committee
The ICC has also made changes to its Women’s Cricket Committee. Katherine Campbell, a former New Zealand off-spin bowler, is now the Chairperson.
