Sony has been teasing a new arcade stick for PlayStation 5 for a while. Now, the company has officially pulled back the curtain. They’re calling it the FlexStrike, and this stick brings exciting new features for fighting game fans.
The FlexStrike is Sony’s very first wireless fight stick that they developed themselves. It comes packed with everything you would expect from a high-end arcade controller. For competitive play, you can count on its low-latency wireless connection via PlayStation Link. If you prefer, there is also a solid USB-C wired connection. Switching how you use the stick is easy with the Lever Mode Switch. You can instantly pick if the joystick acts as the D-Pad, or either of the two analog sticks. Sony made things official, revealing the FlexStrike as their new arcade stick.
One really cool thing about the FlexStrike is its “Gate Swap” feature. This lets you change the shape of the stick’s movement area. You can pick square, circle, or hexagon gates. This means super precise moves right when you need them. You just change the gate from under the stick itself. Plus, you can connect two FlexStrike controllers to a single PlayStation Link adapter. This works with your PS5 or PC. It also makes connecting to other devices a breeze.

Look for the FlexStrike to hit stores sometime in 2026. Sony will share the exact launch date later. Many guess it might arrive when the game Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls releases.
