Sonakshi Sinha is preparing for the release of her film ‘Jatadhara’ on November 7. She takes on the unique role of a ‘Dhan Pishachini’, a powerful spirit tasked with guarding ancient treasure. This marks her debut in a Telugu film.
Sinha recently offered fans an exclusive look into her transformation for the role. She shared the extensive process on her YouTube channel, detailing the creation of her character’s distinct appearance.
The elaborate ‘Dhan Pishachini’ look was designed and styled by Mohit Rai. It featured heavy makeup and long, voluminous hair. Hema Dattani handled Sinha’s makeup, while Madhuri and Kavita were responsible for her hairstyling.
The character required two very different looks. One featured Sinha in a red saree, adorned with heavy jewelry and makeup, and flowing hair. This initial appearance was captured beautifully by photographer Kashish Khan.
The second look presented a more formidable ‘Dhan Pishachini’. Sinha appeared in a green saree, again with heavy makeup and jewelry, but this time holding a skull and a sword. Both transformations were striking and impressive.
Sinha expressed her excitement and found the role particularly challenging. She committed to the part immediately after learning about the character. The film explores themes of greed and faith, inspired by mythological vampiric figures.
‘Jatadhara’ also features a supporting cast including Shilpa Shirodkar, Venkat Kalyan, Sudheer Babu, and Abhishek.
