Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are celebrating their first Eid together after getting married. The couple has been sharing fun and playful videos on social media, teasing each other in a way that’s making them even more lovable to their fans. Recently, Sonakshi opened up about her married life during a live session on YouTube, giving fans a glimpse into her life after tying the knot.
When a fan asked her about the difference between her parents’ house and her in-laws’, Sonakshi revealed that she was pampered as a daughter at her parents’ place. However, her in-laws treat her with even more love and care. “I feel like I’ve been a part of their family forever,” she said. Zaheer, who was present during the session, couldn’t help but joke about it, saying, “Thank God that’s not really the case!”
Sonakshi went on to explain that her in-laws make her feel like she’s their own daughter, taking extra care of her because she’s someone else’s child who has come into their home. “They make me feel like I was born and raised in this house,” she said, to which Zaheer responded with a humorous comment, “Thankfully, that’s not true!” Sonakshi playfully shot back, “Don’t be so logical all the time, understand the emotions behind it.”
The couple got married in June 2024 in an interfaith ceremony, which their families supported after some deliberation. Sonakshi’s brother did not attend the wedding due to the interfaith nature of the marriage. However, her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, did come to bless the couple after some conversations. As the newlyweds navigate their life together, they’re clearly enjoying each other’s company and making the most of their time as a married couple.
