SHIB tokens can be easily destroyed via Shibburn. These transactions are then tracked. They have now announced that only one Shiba Inu token has been destroyed in one of the two transfers in the past few hours. This is a new record.
Only one token destroys
Yet destroying this 1 SHIB is also important for the entire process. Shibburn has released the information about only one SHIB token being sent to the burn wallet through a single transaction.
The person behind the transaction has reportedly admitted it’s all ‘kicks & giggles’; they reminded the SHIB army that even if only one SHIB is destroyed then this “event” can start trolling. However, this in turn will help to destroy many more meme tokens in the end.
A few hours after this transaction, Shibburn reported that a total of 28,539,509 SHIB tokens had been withdrawn from circulation.
Destroyed more tokens last week than the week before
Over the past seven days, approximately 223,265,370 SHIB tokens have been destroyed, requiring 51 transactions. This means that during this period almost twice as much was destroyed as a week earlier. At that time, approximately 106,780,540 SHIB tokens were sent to the burn address.
However, a few users have criticized the “slow pace” and small scale of SHIB token withdrawals. According to some, this would have had virtually no effect on the price of the digital asset so far. This way it can take “ages” to destroy most of the stock. This would suggest that all transactions to date would have been essentially quite irrelevant. Nevertheless, they are steps to be taken, regardless of their speed.
