Skoda Unveils 2025 Fabia RS Rally2 with Striking ‘Mamba Green’ and a new team line-up!

The Skoda team has unveiled a refreshed look and an updated lineup as they prepare for the 2025 season of the Spanish Rally Super Championship. The team aims to defend their prestigious double crown in the championship, and this year brings significant changes that include both a new visual identity and an updated driver roster.

New Car Design and Corporate Colors

One of the most noticeable changes for Skoda this season is the updated design of their cars. The distinctive ‘Mamba green’ color that made a splash when the Fabia RS Rally2 debuted two years ago has been combined with Skoda’s new corporate colors: electric green and emerald green. This bold combination forms a new, eye-catching design that was officially revealed during an event in Asturias.

Driver Lineup and Team Changes

In another key development, the team has expanded its driver roster for the first time in several years. Two-time champion ‘Cohete’ Suárez, who has been with Skoda since mid-2019, will now have a full-time teammate. Javier Pardo, who was recruited by Skoda in 2024, will join Suárez as his co-driver for the entire season. Pardo has already worked with Skoda as a part-time co-driver in three rallies in 2024, and he was instrumental in helping the team retain their double crown by securing a crucial win in his hometown.

This season marks a fresh start for Pardo, who now inherits the Fabia RS Rally2 unit used by Suárez last year. Suárez will continue testing a new Fabia RS Rally2 unit, hoping that Skoda’s parent company will release a package of improvements to the car before the season’s official start.

Collaboration with Michelin

Michelin, a key partner of Skoda and Suárez for over ten years, will continue its support of the team. The company has been a trusted supplier since Suárez’s time with Peugeot, where he was part of their program under Carlos Sainz’s guidance. Michelin has promised new tire compounds for 2025, which the Skoda team will use in their efforts to maintain their competitive edge in the Spanish Rally Super Championship.

Looking Ahead to the 2025 Season

As the season begins, Suárez and Pardo are both preparing for the first rally of the SuperCER series, scheduled for March 7 at the Rally Tierras Altas de Lorca. The team is also anticipating potential performance improvements as they continue to develop the Fabia RS Rally2 and push for another successful season in the championship.

With their refreshed car design, a strengthened driver lineup, and support from Michelin, Skoda is ready to face the competition and defend their title in the 2025 Spanish Rally Super Championship.
