Ranveer Singh’s photo shoot for international magazine ‘Paper’ is making headlines. Several police complaints have also been filed against the actor for posing nude in a photo shoot. After people reacted to Ranveer’s nude photos of Bengali actor and politician Mimi Chakraborty and actor Swara Bhasker, Sherlyn Chopra has questioned society’s double standards.
He also targeted Deepika Padukone. He said that the actress Ranveer married once judged him on clothes at an event. Sherlyn said that he did a similar photo shoot for an international magazine, but faced cruel and sexist comments.
Sherlyn Chopra told India Today, “When I did a daring photo shoot for an international magazine, society called me characterless and by many other names. Why the double standards? Why this hypocrisy? When I did a similar photo shoot, was there something wrong with my body?” Sherlyn reacted sharply to Deepika. Why do we make this a problem? This is not a problem. This is a problem. The way Deepika Padukone made me looked up and down. That’s such a small top, such short shorts. Luckily there was something on the body. What’s on your husband’s body, ma’am? There’s nothing.”
The founder of an NGO filed an FIR against Ranveer, stating that he was concerned that the actor might affect the youth of the country, as well as injured women. Another FIR was registered by a lawyer in Mumbai against the actor.
