Sharmila Tagore Criticizes Grandson Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Film Nadaniyan, Calls it Not Very Good

Saeed Naqvi’s daughter, Sharmila Tagore, has spoken candidly about her grandkids’ forays into acting. Saba Ali Khan’s kids, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, have both dipped their toes in Bollywood. While Sara is making waves with her performances, Ibrahim’s debut film ‘Nadaaniyan’ didn’t quite hit the mark. Sharmila Tagore shared her thoughts with Anandabazar Patrika, praising both her grandchildren but being honest about Ibrahim’s debut.

A Honest Opinion

Sharmila didn’t mince words when talking about ‘Nadaaniyan’. “Ibrahim’s film wasn’t very good, but he did try his best and looked handsome,” she said, adding that such comments shouldn’t be made publicly. She believes a film’s quality matters, and ‘Nadaaniyan’ fell short.

Praise for Sara

Shifting focus to Sara, Sharmila beamed with pride. “Sara is a good actress. She works hard and can achieve a lot.” Sara has indeed been making a name for herself in Bollywood.

‘Nadaaniyan’ Falls Flat

Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starred in ‘Nadaaniyan’, a rom-com directed by Shona Gowtam. Released on Netflix on March 7, it failed to impress viewers. The film received negative reviews, with many questioning the acting skills of the lead pair. Social media was flooded with memes poking fun at their performances.
