Serena Williams certainly knows how to make a splash! The tennis superstar recently set social media abuzz with a vibrant swimsuit photo.
The 43-year-old athlete showed off her fantastic shape on Instagram this past Thursday, August 21. She rocked a bright neon yellow one-piece while posing right in the ocean. Serena placed her hands on her hips, giving fans a full look at her physique. This stunning reveal follows her recent talks about losing 14 kilos with GLP-1 medication. Her swimsuit featured a classic round neckline and delicate thin straps. It also had a cute knotted tie over her chest and a small opening.
Williams added some chic flair to her beach look. She wore a stylish green silk scarf tied around her neck. Black round sunglasses gave her a cool vibe. Small, delicate hoop earrings completed the glamorous touches.
Keeping things natural, the Olympic icon went without makeup. Her blonde hair was parted neatly down the middle. She styled it into a big, bouncy ponytail.
“Melanin mellow-yellow ⚠️,” Williams captioned her sunny post. Her followers quickly flooded the comments with cheers and praise.
“Looking as good as ever, Serena!” one fan wrote excitedly. Another chimed in, “Looking GREAT, QUEEN! ”. A third follower added, “Congrats on the success you had with your weight loss program!”

Williams’ striking photo arrived shortly after she openly discussed her weight loss journey. She shared her story with Today earlier that Thursday.
"After having my second child, I just never got to a healthy weight," she explained during the interview. "A weight I could keep up with, for my joints or my blood sugar levels." She added that this was a constant struggle for her. Many women truly understand this challenge, she pointed out.
She also mentioned that her usual rigorous workouts just weren’t cutting it. "No matter what workouts I did," she said, "I could never get back to the level I needed for my health."
"I would walk for hours, because people say that’s good," she detailed. "I literally played a professional sport. After my second child, it got even harder. So I thought, ‘Okay, I have to try something different.’"
Williams made it clear that taking the medication wasn’t a simple fix. "As an athlete, and someone who has done everything," she stated, "I just couldn’t get my weight to the healthy point it should be. And believe me, I don’t take shortcuts."
