Sixth part of the saga Screamone year after the very average scream 5. This time, the marketing campaign revolves around a new Ghostface, seen as more violent, less eager to hide, and more vicious. Already present in the previous film, this new Scream will see Jenna Ortega, the star of Wednesday and a good part of the cast of scream 5 resume their roles. With a budget of $35 millionthere is no doubt that the film will wish to do as well as the fifth opus which recorded $137 million of global revenue.
But according to the first returns conveyed for Collider, Scream 6 seems like a welcome revival for the franchise. See you in our cinemas on March 8, 2023. Selected pieces :

I feel very lucky to be an avid #Scream fan. #ScreamVI is fantastic. So grateful that this franchise fell into the hands of Radio Silence because they keep crushing it. Yes, Ghostface’s attacks/kills are particularly vicious – a few could be franchise highs in terms of tension.
I haven’t been too hot on the latest #Scream movies, so it makes sense that #Scream6 I’m probably my favorite since 2, especially since it’s an incredibly fun take on this sequel. Really makes the most of its legacy, story and characters, and made me want to see them all again.
I don’t know how they do it but the Scream team did it again. #ScreamVI is perhaps the most meandering installment yet with great tension, gross kills, and another clever and timely hook. Left me guessing in every scene. Great use of NYC too. How is this franchise still so good?
