Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Minerals has issued licenses for 80 new factories with a capital of more than 3.2 billion riyals during December 2021.
According to the Economics, the total number of factories in the country has reached ten thousand 293, the National Center for Industrial and Mineral Information said in the report that the licenses of the new factories were issued.
Most of these companies deal in paper and foodstuffs, licenses have been issued to set up 24 paper and foodstuff factories and 11 mineral factories.
In this regard, the National Center said that 90% of the licenses were obtained by local citizens while 3.75% licenses were issued for joint factories. 6.25% licenses were issued to foreign investors.
