Saudi Arabia announces good news to residency holders

On the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Passport Department has started the process of extending the residency and exit entry visas (exit entry) of foreigners stranded abroad till March 31.

The extension is being carried out on royal directives without any financial or fee. According to the state-run news agency SPA, the passport department said in a statement that the extension of residence and exit visas would be done under an automated system and this would be done in collaboration with the National Information Center.

Foreigners or their sponsors must visit the Passport Department offices or visit Saudi embassies or consulates abroad.

In a statement, the passport department said that the residency and exit visas of foreigners residing abroad would be extended to those residing in countries from which entry to the country has been banned due to the Corona epidemic.

This extension would be an exception for expatriates who have taken a dose of the corona vaccine here before leaving the country.

According to the Passport Department, “Visa visas will be extended to visitors abroad whose visas have been issued by the Foreign Ministry and belong to countries from which entry to the country is banned due to the Corona epidemic.” Their visas will also be extended till March 31, 2022.

It should be noted that the decision to extend the stay, exit and return visas is part of the government’s efforts to deal with the negative effects of the international epidemic.
