Rajasthan Royals just got a major boost. Their regular captain, Sanju Samson, is cleared to keep wickets again. He’s been nursing a finger injury, which kept him from wicketkeeping in IPL matches.
Instead, he’s been coming in as an impact player to bat. But now, the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru says he’s fully fit.
According to a Times of India report, a BCCI source confirmed Samson’s fitness report is positive, and he’s good to go for wicketkeeping duties. This means he’ll likely captain Rajasthan Royals in their April 5 match against Punjab Kings.
Until now, Riyan Parag had been leading the team in their first three matches. With Samson back, things just got interesting.
