Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE Foldables with AI

It’s no secret that foldable phones are a big part of Samsung’s strategy. Today, the tech giant pulled back the curtain on its newest lineup: the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7. These aren’t just minor updates. We’re talking about slimmer designs, more immersive screens, and a deep dive into AI features. Samsung also showed off the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, a more affordable option. This move clearly aims to put foldable tech in the hands of more people.

The company is really pushing the idea of blending top-notch hardware with its Galaxy AI platform. This AI has been fine-tuned for foldable phones through the new One UI 8 interface. Samsung says this mix gives users a powerful, immersive, smart, and portable experience, all in one device. It’s their vision for what a modern phone should be.

The Galaxy Z Fold7: A True “Ultra” in Slim Disguise

The Galaxy Z Fold7 got a serious makeover. It’s now the slimmest and lightest Fold ever. It weighs just 215 grams. When open, it measures a mere 4.2 mm thick. Fold it up, and it’s 8.9 mm thick. That’s a big deal for a phone that turns into a tablet.

Durability was a major focus. Samsung added a thinner, stronger Armor FlexHinge. The frame uses Advanced Armor Aluminum. The outer screen is now protected by the tougher Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2. These upgrades promise a device that can stand up to daily life.

The cover screen is now bigger at 6.5 inches. It has a new 21:9 ratio, making it easier to use with one hand. Open the phone, and you get an immersive 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen. It’s 11% larger than the previous model. This makes it perfect for multitasking or watching videos. Both screens get super bright, up to 2,600 nits. This means you can see them clearly even in direct sunlight.

Under the hood, the Z Fold7 packs a punch. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor. This chip is built to handle AI tasks. The biggest surprise is the camera system. For the first time on a foldable, it features a 200MP main camera. This is joined by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. AI boosts your photos with tools like the ProVisual Engine. It also offers advanced editing features, like removing objects or background noise from videos.

The Galaxy Z Flip7: Smart, Pocketable, and Powerful

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is designed to be a smart, compact sidekick. Its biggest new feature is the 4.1-inch FlexWindow. This outer screen now covers almost the entire front surface. This means you can do more without opening the phone. You can reply to messages or use AI voice assistants directly from this screen.

This FlexWindow is also the brightest in the Z Flip family, hitting 2,600 nits. It has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The main 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen also boasts these specs.

The Z Flip7 is the slimmest in its series when closed, at 13.7 mm thick. But it doesn’t skimp on battery life. It features the biggest battery ever in a Flip phone, a 4,300mAh unit. Performance comes from Samsung’s latest custom 3nm processor for the Galaxy line. For the first time, the Z Flip7 supports Samsung DeX. This lets it act as a workstation when connected to a monitor. It becomes a true mobile work tool.

The camera system also got an upgrade. It now has a 50MP main lens and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. These promise high-quality photos, even when taking selfies using the outer screen. AI is deeply woven into the phone. Gemini Live is available right on the FlexWindow. This lets you handle complex tasks by voice. Imagine planning a trip, getting flight details from Samsung Wallet, and finding restaurants at your destination.

Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: Foldable Tech for Everyone

Samsung wants everyone to try foldable tech. That’s why they launched the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. This model offers a 6.7-inch main screen. It also has a 3.4-inch outer screen.

It keeps a high-quality 50MP camera. This lets you snap selfies even with the phone closed. AI features like Now Brief show useful information on the outer screen. This new model will be available in black and white.
