Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 Charging Speed Remains Unchanged

Imagine you’re on a road trip, and your phone’s battery is running low. You plug it in, expecting a quick top-up, but it takes ages to charge. That’s what Samsung’s premium phone users might experience with the new Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7. Despite being high-end models, they’ll still use the same 25W charging speed as their predecessors.

Let’s take a closer look. Certification info from China’s 3C reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7, with model numbers SM-F7660 and SM-F9660, will support 9V, 2.77A, or 25W charging – the same as the Z Flip6 and Z Fold6. This might seem surprising, given the fast charging capabilities of other Chinese smartphones.

However, Samsung’s approach isn’t entirely unexpected. The company’s new flagship phones might not need faster charging, especially if their batteries are designed to last. Reports suggest the Galaxy Z Fold7 will have a 4,400 mAh battery, just like its predecessor, while the Galaxy Z Flip7 might get a slightly larger 4,174 mAh battery, up from 4,000 mAh.

As for the release date, we can expect the new foldable phones to launch in July.
