Salman Khan is back with Sikandar, an action-packed film that promises to deliver. But does it live up to the hype? The movie starts strong, with Khan’s character, Sanjay Rajkot, making a dramatic entry in a thrilling action sequence.
The Story Unfolds
Sanjay is a wealthy and kind-hearted man who rules the hearts of the people in his kingdom. He’s a doting husband to his wife, Saishree, played by Rashmika Mandanna. But when Saishree suddenly passes away, Sanjay’s world is turned upside down.
He sets out to seek justice and teach a lesson to the powerful Minister Pradhan, who’s behind his wife’s death. Pradhan’s son, Arjun, played by Prateik Babbar, is a spoilt brat who’s used to getting his way.
A Disappointing Plot
The movie has its moments, but the plot is weak and predictable. The first half is engaging, with some high-octane action scenes. However, the second half falls flat, and the climax is downright disappointing.
Rashmika Mandanna shines in her role, but her character’s sudden death leaves a lot to be desired. The chemistry between Salman and Rashmika is palpable, but it’s not enough to save the film.
The supporting cast, including Sharman Joshi and Prateik Babbar, fails to impress. Satyraj, who plays a pivotal role, is wasted in a poorly written character.
Technical Aspects
The cinematography is top-notch, with some stunning drone shots and a grand display of wealth and opulence. The music, however, is average and fails to leave a lasting impression.
Overall, Sikandar is a disappointing film that fails to deliver on its promise. Unless you’re a die-hard Salman Khan fan, there’s no need to rush to the theaters to catch this one.
