Salman Khan's Sikandar Falls Flat Despite Action Packed Performance

Salman Khan is back with a bang, teaming up with renowned South director AR Murugadoss. The film tells the story of Sanjay, a people’s champ in Rajkot, who’s revered for his kindness and generosity. Sanjay’s life takes a drastic turn when his wife, Saishree, falls prey to the wrath of Minister Pradhan and his son Arjun.

The movie kicks off with Arjun’s misbehavior on a flight, where he tries to molest a woman. Sanjay intervenes, saving the day and teaching Arjun a lesson. But this incident sparks a deadly vendetta, claiming Saishree’s life. With his world shattered, Sanjay learns that his wife was pregnant and had donated her organs, giving life to three people.

Minister Pradhan concocts a conspiracy to frame Sanjay for a blast in Punjab. With his son Arjun dead, the minister’s sole aim is to kill the three individuals who received Saishree’s organs. Sanjay, meanwhile, is determined to protect them. Will he succeed, or will Minister Pradhan’s sinister plans land him in jail?

The film’s trailer promises high-octane action and drama. With a runtime of 2 hours 35 minutes, the movie feels a bit long. The background score by Santosh Narayanan is apt, and Pritam’s songs, including ‘Johra Jabbin’ and ‘Bam Bam’, are catchy.

Salman Khan brings his signature swagger to the film, delivering impressive action sequences. However, his emotional scenes lack depth due to underdeveloped characters. Rashmika Mandanna, despite limited screen time, looks lovely and fresh. The film tries to justify the age gap between Salman and Rashmika with a clever dialogue. Pratik Babbar shines as the antagonist Arjun, while Sharman Joshi and Kajal Aggarwal are underutilized.

You should watch this film if you’re a die-hard Salman Khan fan.
