Salman Khan is gearing up for his next film, “Sikandar”, set to hit theaters soon. The Bollywood superstar has been busy promoting the movie and recently opened up about working with younger actresses.
He expressed his desire to collaborate with Ananya Pandey and Janhvi Kapoor, despite their significant age gap. In a press conference, Khan said, “If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people make it difficult for me by talking about our age difference.” He plans to continue working with young actresses, considering it an opportunity for them to grow. Khan is 59, while Ananya is 26 and Janhvi is 25.
Khan also talked about his 31-year age gap with his “Sikandar” co-star, Rashmika Mandanna, who is 28. He stated that if the actress and her father are comfortable with their age difference, others shouldn’t be concerned.
Addressing Insecurities in Bollywood
When discussing the lack of multi-starrer films in Bollywood, Khan said that today’s actors are insecure about working together. He recalled suggesting a film with a ensemble cast to a filmmaker, but the actors refused to work with each other. Khan compared this to his time in the industry, when actors were more comfortable sharing the screen. “We did multi-cast films to bring all our fans together, and after working 100-200 days, we became friends,” he said.
“Sikandar” Release Date Announced
The film “Sikandar”, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, is set to release on March 30, coinciding with Eid. The movie features an ensemble cast, including Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
