Salman Khan is making headlines with his upcoming movie ‘Sikandar’, set to release on March 30. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss, who 17 years ago made ‘Ghajini’ with Aamir Khan. Back then, rumors circulated that Murugadoss had considered Salman for the lead role instead of Aamir. Now, Salman has finally spoken out about those rumors.
In a media interaction, Salman revealed that he had indeed been in the running for the role. He said, “I heard this from Pradeep Rawat, we affectionately call him Ghajini.” Pradeep Rawat played the main villain in ‘Ghajini’. Salman has worked with Pradeep in four or five films and considers him a friend.
Salman continued, “Pradeep might have told me about it. Then he said that Murugadoss is very disciplined and honest, and he wondered how I would work with him, given my temper.” Salman laughed and said, “I’ll ask Pradeep when I meet him, ‘When did I ever get angry with you?'”
The cast of ‘Sikandar’ includes Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Satyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Nawab Shah, Suniel Shetty, and Prateik Babbar. Advance booking for the film has already begun.
