Russia warns EU over gas ban

Tokyo: Japan has announced that it will continue its oil and gas projects with Russia.

According to foreign media reports, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Koichi Hagiuda told reporters that Japan has not yet made a decision on withdrawing from its oil and gas projects Sakhalin One O Two with Russia. Russia needs to supply gas to protect its national interests and energy.

The Japanese minister said that stopping Russian LNG imports in the short term would be a complex and difficult task for EU countries, I cannot say for sure, but I think the European Union (as opposed to oil) It will be difficult to stop gas imports.

The Japanese minister also said that if all G7 countries, including Japan, stopped buying Russian LNG without first looking for alternative routes, the global economy and its energy sector would also face chaos, a solution. That is, the oil problem can be solved by increasing exports from the Middle East, but such a plan would not work with LNG.

It is noteworthy that Japan buys about 8% of its imported LNG from Russia.
