Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United Hit with Injury Blow as Joshua Zirkzee Sidelined.

Manchester United’s disastrous 1-4 loss to Newcastle has left a trail of damage. The team’s worst Premier League season ever is now confirmed, and manager Ruben Amorim faces another blow. Joshua Zirkzee won’t play for several weeks due to a thigh muscle injury.

Zirkzee picked up the injury during the second half against Newcastle. He was replaced by Rasmus Hojlund at 55 minutes. The Dutch striker was bought from Bologna last summer for nearly €45 million. This season, the 23-year-old Netherlands international scored seven goals in 48 games for Manchester United.

Amorim’s troubles come just before a crucial UEFA Europa League match against Lyon, led by Paulo Fonseca. The first leg in France ended 2-2. Amorim will have to deal with the injury news before facing Lyon.
