Rockstar Games issued today an official apology for the status of his recently released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition
The editor promised update the trilogy to improve it and restore the original versions of the games, so players who don’t want the definitive edition can continue playing the classic versions.
The Rockstar trilogy – consisting of remasters of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – It was criticized for its poor visual effects, its flaws and, in general, for not matching the originals.
Apparently, Rockstar withdrew the PC version from online stores because “Involuntarily included” game files that included unlicensed music and (supposedly, though unverified) files related to the famous Hot Coffee minigame, where one of the girlfriends invites the protagonist into her house supposedly for “coffee”.
The publisher today released a statement on its website apologizing for the “Unexpected technical problems” of the remaster.

You will also put the original games back on your online store, and those who purchased the Ultimate PC Edition will receive the classic versions at no additional cost. “While one of the goals of the Ultimate Editions was to allow players to enjoy these games on modern platforms for many years to come, we also understand that some of you would like to continue to have older classic versions available for purchase.”
The apology note also mentions that «Members of the development teams [están] being harassed on social media » and urges fans to be respectful
