This clip announced a massive new update called “THE GREAT OUTDOORS.” As the name suggests, players will now explore creepy areas outside the familiar hotel. Imagine wandering through a mysterious forest or a forgotten cemetery, each filled with strange secrets waiting to be found. It’s a big shift from the usual confined spaces.
This update isn’t just about new scenery, though. It brings a lot of fresh gameplay features too. For instance, they’re adding a new item called Stardust. You can use Stardust to skip directly to a “Subfloor,” helping you navigate tough spots. There are also new “skins” for items, which you can buy using Knobs, the game’s existing currency. Plus, players will finally get a proper save system that works between floors. No more losing all your progress if you need a break! These small changes should make the whole experience smoother and more exciting.
The “DOORS Outdoor Update” is set to launch on August 10th. For a limited time, you can jump into these new scary areas for free until August 25th. After that date, accessing the outdoor content will require a bit more effort. You’ll need to find Door 90 within the in-game hotel. Or, if you’re feeling a bit impatient, you can pay a small amount of the new Stardust currency to get in.
