‘Hot Import Nights’ is one of the winners that uses NFTs to sell virtual event tickets. Another winner is Adrian Balastegui, an artist who works with Emporio Records, an independent record label that uses NFTs. Ripple has also selected digital artists such as Mike Sotirakos, Natacha Elnat, TraumAmnesia, and Robert Chew as winners.

Commenting on the development, Romain Lohezic, founder of TraumAmnesia, said:

The arrival of NFTs is a game changer for creators. The transfer speed, carbon neutrality and simplicity of the XRPL are big plus points. As an artist I am very happy to participate in this development on a large scale.

Ripple’s $250 million fund

This announcement comes four months after the launch of Ripple’s Wave 3 developer program. In this program, the focus is on makers who create physical and digital NFTs. Ripple has also called on creators of other use cases to submit their applications.

Notably, the $250 million Creator Fund is specifically aimed at supporting the development of NFT-related projects on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Ripple has indicated that the fund provides financial and technical support to NFT creators to help them launch projects on the XRP Ledger.

While Ethereum is still the most popular blockchain for NFTs, Ripple’s team hopes to attract more NFT makers to XRPL using the Creator Fund. Since the launch of the initiative, Ripple has received more than 5,000 signups from NFT creators, including Ethernal Labs and xPunks.
