Riot Games and its flagship title, League of Legends, were prominent winners at the Esports Awards 2025, highlighting their enduring impact on the global competitive gaming scene.
The publisher secured the "Esports Publisher of the Year" award. Its popular multiplayer online battle arena game, League of Legends, was named "Esports Game of the Year."
Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon, a top-laner for the T1 esports organization, won "Esports Play of the Year" for his performance in League of Legends.
The international award ceremony, which honors top professionals, organizations, and content creators in esports, took place last Wednesday, December 19. It was held at the HyperX Arena in Las Vegas, United States.
Awards were distributed across 24 categories. Other significant accolades included PUBG Mobile, which won "Mobile Esports Game of the Year."
Indian esports pioneer Animesh “Thug” Agarwal was recognized as "Esports Personality of the Year." Popular online personality iShowSpeed received the "Streamer of the Year" award.
The "Esports Content Group of the Year" title went to S8UL, while Jynxzi was named "Esports Content Creator of the Year."
Red Bull was honored as "Esports Commercial Partner of the Year." Sebastian “SebTheFloorManager’ Leathlean received the "Panel’s Choice Award."
Prodigy Agency won "Esports Support Service of the Year," and Liquipedia was recognized as "Esports Support Platform of the Year." Team Liquid’s 25-Year Anniversary Campaign secured the "Esports Creative Campaign of the Year" award.
Mason “Mercules” Ramsey was named "Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year." Team Vitality CS2 won "Esports Team of the Year."
French professional player Mathieu “ZywOo’ Herbaut received the "Esports PC Player of the Year" award. Zeng “Xiao Hai” Zhuojun was recognized as "Esports Controller Player of the Year."
Team Falcons secured the "Esports Organization of the Year" award. Kim “Kim” Jung-su won "Esports Coach of the Year."
Clayton “CaptainFlowers” Raines and Andrew “Vedius” Day were jointly named "Esports Caster of the Year." Laure Valée received the "Esports Host of the Year" award. Mimi “aEvilcat” Wermcrantz was honored as "Esports Analyst of the Year."
The Esports Lifetime Achievement – Class of 2025 recognized several industry figures. These included Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Matthew “FormaL” Piper, Steve Arhancet of Team Liquid, Tom and Tony Cannon, and Tasteless and Artosis.
